Editorial Policies
The Journal of Applied Life Sciences and Environment is fully committed to the COPE Core Practices, which guide our editorial decisions and processes. We rigorously follow COPE guidelines in handling ethical issues, ensuring that all cases of potential misconduct are investigated thoroughly and transparently. Our peer review process is designed to be fair, confidential, and free from bias, aligning with the COPE principles.
Our editorial policies are also consistent with recognized international standards for research integrity, including those set forth by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). We ensure that all research involving human subjects adheres to the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki, ensuring the protection of participants’ rights and well-being.
We maintain transparent editorial policies that are clearly outlined in our Author Guidelines and Best Practices section, which is readily accessible on our journal’s website. These policies cover critical aspects such as authorship criteria, conflict of interest disclosure, and data sharing requirements. Additionally, our editorial team receives ongoing training to stay informed about the latest developments in research integrity and ethical publishing.
Our editorial policies are subject to regular review to ensure they remain aligned with the evolving standards of research integrity. We are committed to continuous improvement and regularly update our practices in line with the latest guidelines from COPE, ICMJE and other relevant organizations.
We can provide detailed documentation and examples of how we implement these best practices in our editorial processes. This includes our approach to handling ethical complaints, our peer review procedures, and how we ensure transparency in authorship and conflict of interest disclosures.
The Journal of Applied Life Sciences and Environment is committed to publishing high-quality research that adheres to best practices in scientific rigor, ethical standards, and consistent use of nomenclature and terminology.
- All submitted manuscripts must comply with recognized standards in their respective fields, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and reproducibility.
- We require that research methods are appropriate, validated, and transparently reported, following guidelines such as CONSORT or PRISMA where applicable.
- Consistency is essential. Authors should use standardized terms and follow authoritative guidelines like IUPAC for chemical names or ICZN for organism names.
- Data must be presented clearly and accurately, with the use of standard units and appropriate statistical methods to ensure transparency and integrity.
